Prime Minister was seen doing asanas along with other contestants, in the event of International Yoga Day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday has led the third imprint of International Yoga Day held at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan in Lucknow.
Prime Minister was seen performing asanas in one of the largest events in the nation along with 50,000 other contestants.
Ram Naik, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and cabinet ministers were also being present at the occasion.
“Yoga’s giant reputation outside India is high and has linked the world with our nation,” Modi stated while speaking to the crowd in Lucknow.
Prime Minister has expressed his gladness over the growing number of Yoga institutions being started over the past three years and said that the plea for Yoga teachers is growing.
Modi also insisted on the prominence of wellness separately from physical fitness and declared that Yoga was a mediocre to attain wellness.
“Yoga is all about health assurance. It is not even luxurious to practice,”
Talking at the venue after Modi, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thanked volunteers for waiting patiently in spite of the rain.
“Yoga is an art of living. It imparts to stay united. Yoga is a slice of our tradition and it incorporates us,” he said.
Moreover, the 80 minute Yoga period is in full swing in spite of the heavy shower.
In the meantime, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Baba Ramdev and Amit Shah have also joined in a Yoga camp in Ahmedabad.
To make the International Yoga Day program a big success, numerous organizations, Yoga gurus and NGOs have held campgrounds and practice sessions.
Several Union ministers had led the celebrations for International Yoga Day in various parts of the nation.
Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, BJP leader Vijay Goel, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi L-G Anil Baijal is joined at DMC International Yoga Day at Connaught Place.
