Mohanlal’s Villain – It is the First Indian film to adapt this technology!
Ever since the release of Mohanlal new movie first look poster of ‘Villain’ helmed by B. Unnikrishnan, the movie has become the talk of the town. The shoot for this movie is currently making headway at Trivandrum, and the team members has recently revealed an interesting factor about the highly anticipated movie.
In a recent interview from the director B.Unnikrishnan, explained the reason behind shooting his upcoming directorial Villain in 8K technology by using a special ‘Red’ camera of ‘Weapon Helium 8K’ series. By adapting to this new high-end technology, Villain becomes the first Indian movie to be shoot completely in 8K resolution.
The Director said that he does not wish to compromise the quality of the movie’s visuals and so decided to shoot the whole movie in 8K resolution. While most of the Mollywood films were shot at 1.8K and then up scaled to 2K or 4K, in which it results the drop of its visual grandeur, B. Unnikrishnan explained that firstly he will be shooting Villain in 8K and then will bring it down to 4K or 2K, so as to maintain the quality of the visuals.
Renowned cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, famous for his works in Kollywood movies such as Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya and Nanban, is DOP for this movie. This movie has much significance to special effects that will be handled by one of the international company from Poland.
Touted to be a stylish thriller, Villain has Mohanlal playing an ex-cop cop while Manju Warrier plays as his wife. The film also includes Vishal, Hansika, Srikanth and Rashi Khanna in pivotal roles. Which is produced by Rockline Entertainments, the movie has Pulimurugan fame stunt choreographer Peter Hein choreographing a special stunt sequences for Mohanlal. The team is currently filming the second schedule in Vagamon.
