Vishal moves court to revoke suspension from producers’ council

Vishal Krishna on Wednesday filed an affirmation in the Madras high court; ask for to revoke his temporary holdup from the council.


Chennai: Stating regrets for his remarks against the office-bearers of the Tamil Flick Producers Council, actor-producer Vishal Krishna on Wednesday marched an affidavit in the Madras high court, requesting to cancel his temporary suspension from the council. Justice K.Kalyanasundaram, already whom Vishal filed the affidavit, sent to January 6, further hearing of the suit filed by Vishal, assaulting the decision of the council in suspending his affiliation for three months.

In his affidavit, Vishal bow to that on January 2, when the case came up for enquiry, senior counsel look as if for the council submitted that even now if Vishal conveys his doubts for making such remarks, the entire issue could be settled. Pursuant to the same, this court has directed his counsel to obtain advices and report back to the court. Hence, as directed by his counsel, he was filing the present affidavit, he added.

He supposed the entire dispute arose out of his interview published in Tamil weekly magazine “Ananda Vikadan” in the problem dated August 17, 2016, concerning the functioning of the council. He had only expressed his own views, may be in a little strong way but without any ulterior cause or intention to hurt anybody or create any controversy and ill-will in the council. In fact, in the similar interview itself, he had explained that he had nothing personal in contradiction of any of the chosen office-bearers but still some of persons felt that he had made a personal attack, he added.

He said, “In order to escape further conflict and for the betterment of the council and in the notice of maintaining better relationship among various interlinked associations in the industry, I have marched the present affidavit. I am a reliable, honest, responsible and law abiding citizen with abundant respect for the law, courts and guidelines and regulations governing numerous bodies. I state that I convey my compunctions to all concerned, if any of my statements in the above-mentioned interview may have hurt anyone, because that was not my purpose, and I take on to abide by the rules and principles governing the council, as always. I appeal that my temporary deferral may be revoked and that my usual membership may be bring back”, he added.
