The sixth generation Ford Mustang maybe just a months old for India, but globally, it’s been around since 2014 and has set to receive a facelift next year. While Ford continues testing the 2018 Mustang under a heavy camouflage in the USA, enthusiast forum Mustang6G has managed to serve fans with the new interesting details about the facelifted model.
One of the biggest changes that Ford Mustang will see with all the facelift will be the discontinuation of the 3.7-liter TiVCT naturally aspirated V6 gasoline engine. This is being speculated because the body type codes for V6 engine model reportedly come up as invalid in the dealer computer. Excitingly, the rumored 10-speed automatic transmission now shows up in an options list. The Mustang Ford-GM co-developed unit was introduced this year in the
Ford mustang F-150. A dual exhaust will also be available as optionally, but it’s unknown on which the variant specifically.
With the MY2018 mid-cycle update, Ford would also offer the MagneRide dampers in the Ford Mustang EcoBoost & Ford Mustang GT optionally. Talking about automobiles the Mustang Shelby GT350 and Mustang Shelby GT350R are already equipped with this damping system. A used ford mustang list of the options also includes a “Performance Package 2”, which could be a more track-focused package meant to make the mustang gt a better competitor of the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE package.
The 2018 Ford Mustang (facelift) will be available in two new best colors besides some current options: Orange Fury & Royal Crimson. The Grabber Blue which was introduced in last year will be discontinued, but the Kona Blue color of 2015 Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition makes a return.
