Two 19-year-old engineering students have died in a road accident after the rider lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the median and tree on New BEL road early on Wednesday.
Sadashivanagar traffic police have registered a case and the bodies were shifted to the M.S. Ramaiah hospital for post-mortem.

Gunavantha, a native of Kolar, was in the third semester of Industrial engineering at the MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology and Vishnu, the native of Nanjungud was a student of architecture. Both were staying by paying guest accommodation on 80 feet road in Sanjayanagar, the police said.
The incident took place around 12.45 am on Wednesday when the Gunavantha and Vishnu were heading back to their PG after attending a friend’s birthday party at their friend’s place in the Yeshwanthpur.
Gunavantha was riding the bike in high speed and have lost control. The impact of the collision was such that the bike got totally distorted and the two were grievously injured. The passersby immediately rushed them to a MS Ramaiah Hospital, where the doctors declared them dead.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the Gunavantha had taken a KTM duke bike from his friend to attend the party and they were not wearing the helmets when the accident took place.
Sadashivanagar traffic police have registered a case towards the accused and the bodies were shifted to M.S. Ramaiah hospital for post-mortem.
