Salman Khan’s role is redolent of that of Tom Hank’s in ‘Forrest Gump’.
Mumbai: Though the country is warming up to the phenomenal Baahubali wave, Salman Khan, obviously the leading star in the nation today, has come up with the teaser of his newest, and he is nothing less than surprising.
The keenly awaited teaser of Salman’s picture ‘Tubelight’ has lastly been released, much to the delight of his gazillion admirers.
The teaser is all Salman Khan Fare, with his virtue and innocuous charm being utilized to the fullest.
The teaser discloses that Salman Khan performs a slow-witted man-child, who is the love of the locality and population he exists in and mid, though we might add, one might be reminded of Tom Hank’s cult turn in ‘Forrest Gump’.
The real brothers Sohail Khan and Salman play here as reel brothers in this movie, once again. Sohail’s role is in the military, as is apparent, fighting the Sino-Indian war of 1962, to the background of which the movie is set.
It may be an implication made too soon, but the movie could very well be a layman’s viewpoint of the notorious war, made odder by getting its protagonist to be a child man.
The cinematography of the movie, certainly, is striking and suitable.
Salman, who has previously portrayed the character of a mentally rickety person in ‘Kyon Ki’, appears to have grown as an actor, if one is to go by the movie teaser.
By the way, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ also dispensed with a fictionalized episode from a retro war environment.
With Salman being the core of the movie, the Kabir Khan directorial is assured to beat present box office records, considering how their former outing, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, a craze in its own right, fared.
Admitting how influential the teaser is, we can hardly wait for a full-fledged movie trailer.
