Rakesh Roshan says in an exclusive interview ahead of Kaabil movie release.
With his own home production, Kaabil featuring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Guatam, all fixed to release on 25 January, Rakesh Roshan is assured that the story revolving about a visually impaired pair, will do well owed to the delightfully woven script that has a strong emotive cord.
The filmmaker retains himself modernized with the newest happenings always. Approving this, he speaks, “Yes. I try to hang onto the newest. Also with my son Hrithik, yadi woh mujh se dus kadm aage rehta hai toh mein, 9 kadm peeche (If he stops ten steps ahead of me, I am nine steps after!),” he sneers.
Remarkably, Rakesh Roshan frequently sits in his office and pays near attention to what’s occurring in his career, by watching pictures on the telly. “I effort to keep learning,” he confirms, saying, “The day when we stop learning is the last day of our life. I like to watch fresher talent and movies. Though, I might have not met them all. Films with an emotive click works at the box office irrefutably, artificial tales fail to appeal the audiences. Neerja, Sultan, Pink and Dangal, are some new examples, which did fine at the BO, merely owing to the emotive connect. Essentially, nothing has altered. Except the movie has the emotive connect, it does not plea to the viewers. I watch each new movie on Fridays.”
Investigating further on maintaining pace with Hrithik, particularly where fitness is worried, Rakesh says, “I often work out in the gym. I also take care of my food as well.”
As the discussion veers to Hrithik Roshan, the producer-director, endures, “We always like to settle our deliberations on a positive reminder. I do not have any individuality hassles; moreover, I always like to overhear from the new generation. Hrithik is very emotive, and therefore, cares for a passionate tale. He has assisted me in almost four or five movies. When in discussion, he knows that for my movies, scenic locations play a central part. For instance, if I need a ship for a scene, he discerns that I will go to any amount to get the best boat from anyplace in the world. Therefore, we are mostly on the similar page always. Yet, while deliberating about songs, he always says me, ‘Papa, just add some current note to it’.”
Certainly, we Roshans are a close-knit family — this itself is the forte, not only to the commerce but to all the family members. Through the not-so-good-times, we keep on stable, firm and above all, being a bonded family is the main strength. Bad times will wither gone with time.
On social life
I am social but I don’t join filmy gatherings, nor do I do join with people from the similar profession. Typically, I notice there are numerous people who backstab you!
