Hyderabad: Telangana state Telugu Desam Party working president A. Revanth Reddy, who is Delhi, on this Tuesday allegedly spoke with senior AICC members and expressed them his interest in joining the Congress to gross on the TRS party in the state.
Revanth Reddy had denied joining the Congress when he spoke to media persons in Delhi, and named the reports “baseless”.
All India Congress Committee Planned Caste/Scheduled Tribe cell chairman Koppula Raju had allegedly conveyed Mr. Revanth Reddy’s purpose to join the Congress to AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. After receiving a nod from him, Mr. Raju had organized meetings in Delhi with Mr. Revanth Reddy and senior AICC leaders, Congress representatives stated.

Amusingly, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy also is in Delhi, but was not accessible.
When a senior TS Congress member called him, AICC secretary and TS incharge R.C. Kuntia allegedly said it was still restricted to consultations and no decision had been taken. He guaranteed the Congress member that before inviting Mr Revanth and other members from the TD into the Congress party; the party would get the views from all PCC leaders specifically those from the district Revanth Reddy belongs to.

Inquired about the growths, TS TD president L. Ramana said, “I am not conscious any such thing.”
