The Telangana government announced today that it is asking President Pranab Mukherjee to launch T-Works, a start-up incubator for the hardware industry.
“T-Works on the T-Hub lines for hardware, a big facility will come to Osmania University and we ask President Pranab Mukherjee to launch it at the University’s Centennial celebrations next month,” Jayesh Ranjan , Senior Secretary of Computer Science.
T-Works will act as a prototyping center for electronics, semiconductors and hardware start-ups. It will be a very large configuration, he added.
Ranjan inaugurated the National Conference on “Inno Vision in Packaging” organized by the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP).
“The IIP asks the Telangana government to allocate 5-acre land to expand their local operations,” said N C Saha, director of the IIP.
He also said that the Indian market for packaging is expected to reach $ 32 billion by 2020.
