Vishal wins in Tamil Film Producers’ Council office-bearers election
Tamil industry hero and producer Vishal is elected as a president of Tamil Film Producers Council.
Vishal one who produces films under own banner Vishal Film Factory has won as president of Tamil Film Producers Council by a slight margin of 154 votes in the elections which he was competed by some producers of industry S. Radhakrishnan, who runs Maruthi Films and Kothanda Ramaiah, who heads K.R. Infotainment.
Vishal now holds two posts on his name. He is also the general secretary of Nadigar Sangam or South India Artists Association.
From his faction, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prakashraaj have been elected as the vice-presidents of the council along with them S.R. Prabhu, who heads Dream Warrior Pictures elected as treasurer.
K.E. Gnanavel Raaja one who is a part of Vishal’s team was elected as one of the secretaries, S. Kathiresan who has been a part of Kothanda Ramaiah’s team, was also elected as a secretary.
The news of the vishal’s win has broken; he said he was very happy with the win that was given and thanked his team for making this possible and also said that the two years would be golden years for the Tamil film industry.
1059 has participated in polling which has begun at 8.30 a.m. and ended by 4 p.m. Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Manobala, Suhasini Mani Rathnam, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Nasser has also participated in the voting. Polling held with high security at Kanthasamy Naidu College in the city.
Roadblocks to the post
In the past, Vishal in number of occasions has assessed the functioning of ongoing president Kalaipuli S. Thanu.
From the senior members and opposition of the council vishal has faced a lot of flak form when he announced his decision to contest in elections who questioned his ability and skills to carry out the duties as an office-bearer in two major film bodies.
