Jharkhand: The process of  18,000 school teachers recruitment would start from January, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das stated on Monday. Declaring that his priority has been on education since the formation of his government, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das stated computer classes would be made available for class IX and X.

Separate skill training programme would be on track for students who are weak in studies but sharp in skill intelligence, an official release stated quoting the CM Raghubar Das. Addressing a pre-budget conference here, Raghubar Das stated he was ready to provide account of every paisa before the people and keep its work before the people when his government completes 2 years in office on December 28.

Stating that people had played a part in the budget process in 2016-17, Raghubar Das said that he came again to know people’s opinion on 2017-18 budget. The government was thinking over how to simplify commercial taxes, Raghubar Das stated adding efforts are on to reopen closed mines.

Seeking to know from the opposition parties what they had done for tribals in the last 14 years, he stated a Primitive Tribal Development Authority would be set up very soon. The government was also thinking over to give 35 kg grain packet to BPL families and efforts were also on to set up ration shops in panchayat buildings, he stated.

The government was also trying to provide health insurance to 80% of people so that they could get a coverage between Rs 50,000 and 2 lakh.

Calling upon the well to do section of the society to do some unusual work for the poor people—at least constructing one or two toilets, the CM stated he would work towards cutting down the total number of BPL families to half in the next 3 years.

He would make available 4 lakh rupees for BPL families to start self-employment, the release stated.

The CM Raghubar Das stated his government was working for all section, particularly BPL families and tribals and they would get the benefits of amended Chhotanagpur Tenancy Act/ Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act soon.
