2 MP Sons of Andhra Pradesh held for ransacking toll plaza at Bagepalli
Two sons of an Andhra Pradesh MP and five of their friends were arrested on Monday for ransacking a toll plaza at Bagepalli on National Highway 7 in Chickballapur district and attacking the staff for difficult toll. All 7 were later out on station bail, Telugu Desam Party MP for Nimmala Krishnappa, Hindupur, himself was complicated in a similar incident at the same toll plaza in May 2015 year and an FIR was listed against him and his sons Shirish and Ambarish, their friends were travelling from Gorantla to Bengaluru morning in separate vehicles and when the toll plaza staff at Bagepalli asked them to pay the toll they declined and tried to break the toll fence.
Men argued that they were not obliged to pay the toll as they were sons of an MP the police supposed, and however the staff told them that only MPs were entitled to the relinquishment not their family members and according to eyewitnesses the quarrel escalated and the comrades started making calls, Inside minutes a few peoples arrived at the spot in another car. Persons from all three vehicles supposedly started attacking the toll cabins and they also allegedly beat up the staff with sticks hurting Suresh and Nataraj who were preserved at a local hospital and cleared.
Next a complaint by the toll plaza staff the Bagepalli police arrested Shirish and Ambarish five of their connections, here Sub inspector of Police Naresh Naik told to media that the MP sons and friends ensued to Bengaluru after their issue. MP sons also filed a counter complaint against the toll staff, alleging that they were manhandled, following which the police arrested and later released five toll plaza staff. In March, Suresh Gowda, MLA from Tumakuru district was caught on CCTV assailing toll plaza staff near Kyatasandra as per the report.
