Doctor allegedly twittered abusive messages.
Chennai: Cybercrime wing officers of the City Police are pursuing an appeal of actor Shruti Haasan complaining of a stalker over Tweet. The appeal was filed by her manager with the Forces.
Sources supposed the artist’s agent, recognized as Praveen Antony, submitted her complaint at the grievances redressal meet at the City Forces Commissioner’s office on Wednesday. In her two-page complaint, Shruti wanted action against her stalker who was sending abusive and offensive messages over Twitter on the handle @Shrutihaasan.
Talking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior forces official admitted that the appeal had been received and promoted to the central crime office sleuths for further action. “We cannot record a case right away. We have started searching her case and would take adequate measures based on the values of her complaint”, the official reasoned.

The petition which DC read contained allegations that the follower was using expletives and highly derogatory terms to abuse her and, in certain of the messages, he also tried to kill her as well. The episodes of harassment have been regular since September 7. The suspect had openly specified that he would stab the artist if he managed to get close to her. The follower had made wild accusations about the artist’s character besides creating jibes on her personal life.
Based on the information provided by Shruti, the suspect was recognized as one Dr K.G Guruprasad, a doctor working with a medical organization in Karnataka. Corroborating her rights, the actor attached her Tweet screen shots of the messages she had been getting from the respondent.
