Telangana Government employees associations asked the government to pay September month salaries before Dasara.
Hyderabad: The Telangana state government has decided to pay the September salary of its staffs a week in advance so that they can come across Dasara expenses. Usually, employees get their salaries in their bank accounts on the 1st of each month.
With Dasara tumbling on the last working day, September 30, Telangana Government employees associations asked the government to give salaries before Dasara festival to meet the festival expenses.
The associations had met Chief Secretary S.P. Singh and succumbed a representation. They stated that Dasara and Bathukamma are big festivals in the Telangana state, which are celebrated concurrently and employees along with relations head for their native places.
The chief secretary mentioned the issue to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who agreed on the payment of salaries by 25th September.
