As Rajamouli makes his debut film as a VR movie director with The Sword of Baahubali, it is a big step for several, counting actress Ritu Varma, who is supposed to be the first real-time VR character of India. The teaser of the movie has been shown widely till now and the picture itself is set to screen at the Tribeca Film Festival in the month of April, just a few days formerly the release of Baahubali — The Conclusion.
Talking to us about the shooting experience, Ritu Varma shares her eagerness. “After Pelli Choopulu movie, I was loomed to be the face of this future virtual reality movie. Though I don’t comprehend the technicalities, it was truly electrifying to be a part of the domain of Baahubali. I clearly said yes without any second thought,” shares Ritu, who’s newly released photo accurate virtual reality image has been gathering a great deal of devotion.
Go into detail on the experience, Ritu says, “For an artist, it is always exhilarating to be allied with anything new. And furthermore, with Rajamouli sir at the wheel, it certainly feels great.”
So what precisely was her contribution to the venture? “Of course, I will be offering the voice to my role. But apart from that, I also departed to the US for a facial scan done with an exceptional VR camera. It had taken closely 20-30 facial expressions of mine. Likewise, I said, the technicalities are not my cup of tea. It was all a very different experience,” she clarifies.
