Reliance Jio Prime Subscription Plan

Reliance Jio Prime for Rs. 10/day was hurled for present customers. Telecom opponents Airtel, Vodafone and Idea are relieved as Jio is going commercial.


After Reliance Jio Prime subscription strategy’s launch, Cellular operators’ association (COAI) on Tuesday uttered relief that beginner Reliance Jio has proclaimed “price points” for data services after 1st April, which though “aggressive” will not fleece the industry.

With Reliance Jio’s Prime subscription strategy impending into effect soon, COAI said the rating along with client experience made by a telecom network’s capability to take data traffic load will distinguish the winners from losers going onward.

“Jio have publicized the pricing for the services, which is great news for the telecom industry, at least they have begun charging. Our members will be giving out their retort but as an industry viewer, I can express that the industry will be pleased that price points have been proclaimed. They are hostile but not bad,” COAI Director General Rajan S Mathews told media while remarking on the new Jio Prime subscription strategy.

Jio has proclaimed that its present subscribers and new clients who come on board by 31st March 2017, can endure enjoying unlimited aids of its ‘Happy New Year Offer’ for one more year (that is March 31, 2018) by the remunerating one-time charge of Rs. 99 and Rs. 303 in a month, as part of Reliance Jio Prime subscription offer.

“The Rs. 99 plus Rs. 303 is not a bad price if the ARPUs (Average Revenue Per User) can be taken to Rs 300 from the present Rs. 180 …,” Mathews stated on the Jio Prime plan.

In a speech program live on the business’s social media networks, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said Jio customers had consumed more than 100 crore GB of data in a month on the Jio network, which is above  3.3 crores GB a day. Jio carries closely 5.5 crore hours of video every day on its network, he said.

“The query is how much of load can the Jio network take, given the heavy packages of data … that will distinguish the customer experience,” Mathews said, saying the asset into the network to confirm that speed does not worsen will be perilous.

Finally, the price points and client experience together will regulate winners and losers going onward in the war amid Reliance Jio and other troupes like Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea.

Ambani on Tuesday proclaimed that his telecom project has crossed 100 million subscribers milestone in 170 days of introduction and Jio will offer 20 percent additional data after toning the best data tariffs of competitors from April 1, 2017.

As proclaimed previously, Reliance Jio, he said, will ensure to offer free voice calls and nationwide roaming post-April 1, when its advertising free voice and data offer ends.
