Ramdas Athawale, the RPI leader stated, ‘How can such a tough team drop to its long-rivals Pakistan in the ICC final by 180 runs?’
Vadodara: The Union minister Ramdas Athawale on Friday commanded “inquiry” into whole Indian cricket crew’s shock conquest in the final match of ICC Champions Trophy on 18th June happened at The Oval in London.
The RPI leader, talking to reporters here after joining meetings with district representatives, said, “India had conquered Pakistan in the previous (league stage) game. How can such a tough team lose to its arch-rivals Pakistan in the last match by 180 runs?”
There should be a strong analysis into this, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice stated.
Pakistan had scored 338 runs after placed in to bat first by Virat Kohli. Whereas Fakhar Zaman had scored a breathtaking hundred, the likes of Mohammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali had chipped in with fifties afore Mohammad Amir ran over the Indian topmost order, scalping Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.
