Interestingly, aids to the TD and the TRS enlarged after they came to power in AP and TS respectively.

The Association of Independent Rights on Tuesday released an analysis of the Income Tax incomes and statements filed with the Election Charge of India and found that that the causes of income of political parties keep on largely unknown.

ADR said, “At present, political parties are not required to disclose the name of individuals or organizations giving less than Rs 20,000. As a result, over two-thirds of the funds cannot be traced and are from ‘unknown’ sources. This comes to be very relevant in light of recent events when demonetization was proclaimed so as to weed out black money from society. While the national political parties were taken under the RTI Act by the CIC governing in June 2013, they have still not complied with the conclusion.”
