Honeypreet Singh has been accused with agitation by Haryana Govt for purportedly inciting violence after Ram Rahim’s rape sentence.
New Delhi: The Panchkula court on this Friday had jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh’s ‘adopted’ daughter Honeypreet Insan and her assistant Sukhdeep Kaur to judicial custody till 23rd October.
Panchkula Police had brought Honeypreet to the district court from the Chandimandir police Station as her custody finishes on Friday.
Police informed the judicial court that a mobile phone had been recovered from her.
On this Tuesday, the court had sent Honeypreet and her assistant Sukhdeep Kaur to three-day police custody.
Previously on 4th October, the court had directed Honeypreet to six-day custody, after the police department had sought after a 14-day remand to interrogate her and start a connection amid Honeypreet and the violence in Panchkula following Ram Rahim’s rape conviction.
Through the investigation, Haryana Police sued that Honeypreet was not cooperating through the interrogation.
Panchkula Police Commissioner A S Chawla has stated that Honeypreet is confusing the police.
Haryana Police had imprisoned Honeypreet from Zirakpur on 3rd October, about 25 kilometers from Chandigarh. She has been accused of sedition by Haryana Government for apparently inciting violence after a Panchkula Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court alleged Dera chief Gurmeet Singh guilty in a rape case.
