Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has decided to illuminate the entire 24.3 km stretch to ensure safe travel including Outer Ring Road.
Motorists driving along the busy Shamshabad to Gachibowli stretch of the Outer Ring Road have reason to cheer, hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has decided to illuminate the entire 24.3 km stretch to ensure safe travel to all the people.
As per the record nearly 4000 LED bulbs with wattage of 90, 210, 1000 and 2000 will be fixed specially on erected poles all along the route in the coming months in Hyderabad, and digging work for placing the poles began a few days ago as of now and April is the target for finishing the work on the main roadway. This illumination of up and down ramps and service roads will be completed by July month. As per Anand Mohan the chief general manager of ORR the lights will be mechanically organized.
He also said, we will be using a real time web based nursing and control system and dimming and fault alarm are the extra features in this bulbs. 5 to 5 control panels will be set up and lights will be swapped on or off through timers he said as per the report as of now.
This one is the 30 crore project has been subsidized by the Japan Global Collaboration Activity and Phillips India is accountable for process and upkeep for the next 5 years and the Gachibowli to Shamshabad route was chosen for illumination because of the high thickness of traffic and augmented number of accidents in the city. In the city the death toll from chances in 2016 was 750 the highest since the beginning of the Outer Ring Road (ORR).
