OnePlus is planned to declare the OnePlus 5 smartphone in India today at an occasion in Mumbai.
Chinese company OnePlus has redefined what a “flagship killer” is. On June 20, the company internationally declared the OnePlus 5, planting the entire newly launched Android mobile to shame, once more. Furthermore, only two days after its dispatch, the cell phone is touching base in India.
Its key traits: OnePlus 5 is coupled with 8GB RAMS and run by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, is equipped with operates on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and dual camera setup. It is offered in the US at an opening price of $479, and thus, estimated to cost everywhere around Rs 31,000 in India.
OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,920×1080. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon’s 835 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage option and 8GB RAM in the 128GB storage variant.
The OnePlus 5 features a dual rear camera, similar to an iPhone 7 Plus and several other smartphones. It has Electrical Image Stabilisation (EIS) and the wide-angle lens is a 16MP Sony IMX 398 with an aperture of f/1.7. The optional zooming focal point is a 20MP Sony IMX 350 sensor with a gap of f/2.6.This equipment, alongside programming craftiness, makes for a convincing camera unit on paper.
A complete 16MP front camera with a 1-micron pixel Sony IMX371 sensor, with a f/2.0 opening, and with a dynamic screen flash with three ways to choose from— Off, On and Auto. The phone holds the 3.5mm earphone jack.
It also works on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with OxygenOS atop. The phone is touted as the “slimmest OnePlus flagship ever” with 154.2×74.1×7.25mm in measurement and it comes in Slate Grey and Midnight Black colors.
After an official statement and validation on price details, the smartphone will go on sale over the online retails store Amazon today itself.
