Mobile Network Operator Idea introduced “Private Recharge” Service for women to ensure privacy for their Mobile Numbers.
The mobile network operator “Idea” introduced a new service for Idea women subscribers to ensure privacy for their mobile numbers.
Telecom operator Idea cellular aimed at “Private Recharge” letting customers to retain their privacy without sharing their mobile numbers. The telecom operator will complete the pan-India rollout of its ‘Private Recharge’ service this month. The main purpose of this service is to allows its users to recharge their mobile phone on retail outlets without sharing their numbers. On the eve of International Women’s Day, the company is publicizing how the feature will be especially useful for its woman subscribers. The same feature was also introduced by Vodafone in the last Month.
The service was first launched in Kerala in August 2016 and is now it is available over 14 circles in the country. Idea Cellular will complete Pan-India roll-out of its private recharge service in this month,” the telecom operator said in a statement.
The service is available at free cost. To avail the service Idea customer will need to send an SMS writing ‘Code’ to toll free number 55515 after which the customers will receive one-time password. The One-time password can be then shared with the dealer instead of mobile number to get their phone recharged. This unique method allows Idea’s women customers to recharge their mobile phones by One-time Password, in a simple way. Both prepaid and postpaid customers can avail this service to recharge their phones and pay mobile bills.
“The new feature is mainly helpful for Idea’s women users who can choose not to disclose their numbers thereby ensuring their confidentiality. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the telecom operator is reiterating its commitment to women’s safety with the ‘Private Recharge’ feature on its V-Top up system,” Idea Cellular said in a statement.
