According to another report of automobiles from the same publication, Toyota is bringing the three new sports concepts at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show: Toyota S-FR, Toyota Corolla GTI, and Toyota Supra. In the recent past, the supra Toyota was indirectly previewed by the Toyota FT-1 concept at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. The car’s finally design will be a collaborative work of the company’s headquarters located in Toyota City, Japan & Calty design studio in California, USA.
Based on the same rear-wheel-drive platform as that of BMW Z5, the reborn supra car is expected source power from a 255 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 340 hp 3.0-litres V6 engine which will link to the 8-speed automatic transmission. A 2.5-litre hybrid model could join the line-up in late 2018. The concept to be shown in Tokyo will be very close to the production, the report adds.
