The metro inaugural programme will be around half-an-hour long.
Hyderabad: It has been fixed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will initiate the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR). Chief Secretary S.P. Singh on this Thursday stated that Mr. Narendra Modi would initiate the Metro Rail service at Miyapur station at 3 pm on 28th November, and then drive a train from Miyapur to Kukatpally, a distance of 5 km, and back, laterally with Governor E.S.L Narasimhan, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and other VIPs. Mr. Singh conducted a meeting on this Thursday to review the provisions for the inauguration of the HMR and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. He stated that he would get the official minute-to-minute plan of the Prime Minister on this Friday.
As per the timid schedule obtained from the PMO, Narendra Modi will land at Begumpet airport at around 2.30 pm on 28th November. He will come to Miyapur by helicopter and instate the HMR at 3 pm. The inaugural program will be around half-an-hour long. After this program, Mr. Modi will travel to the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), the spot of the GES, by helicopter. He will land at the summit at 4 pm. He will then come to Falaknuma Palace, by road, at 7.45 pm and reach there by 8.45 pm to have a dinner that will be joined by Ms. Ivanka Trump and other notables participating in the conference. He will leave Falaknuma Palace by 9.30 pm to go back to Delhi.
Mr Singh trained officials to make foolproof preparations at Begumpet Airport, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Miyapur Metro Rail station, the HICC, Falaknuma Palace and Golconda Fort. He stated that the Telangana state government would host a feast for the GES delegates at Golconda fort on 29th November, and asked representatives to make preparations for the event.
