New Delhi: Naming the Goods and Service Tax (GST) a ‘simple and good tax’, PM Narendra Modi said on Saturday that it will put an end to the provocation of honest dealers and small companies while incorporating nation into a single market with one and only tax.
At a social event to take off the GST at the momentous Central Hall of Parliament, the Prime Minister stated the new tax is good and transparent and would close corruption and check black money.
GST will reject 500 kinds of taxes and there will be a single tax from Ganganagar to Itanagar and Leh to Lakshadweep, adding it is a catalyst that will eliminate trade inequity and endorse exports.
“GST is a transparent and simple system that prevents cohort of black money and controls corruption. The system gives chance to morality and traders who do authentic business,” he said, calling GST as a financial integrator just like the addition of the country that Sardar Vallabhai Patel had completed after the liberation.
