Manchu Manoj speaks about his upcoming movie, how Chiranjeevi gave his voice-over and his career plans.
Manchu Manoj is cheerful as his movie Gunturodu is releasing this Friday. “It’s a commercial movie and the script takes place in Guntur district, hence the name,” speaks Manoj, saying, “The script turns around the ego hitches between the villain and the hero. Sampath performs the villain role and he is a good actor. It fortified me to do more besides him.”
However the plan was to release the movie in the last week of Feb, they didn’t get numerous theaters. “We thought 20 to 30 theaters more, but we didn’t acquire them, so we postponed. In the interim, we also made certain corrections in the music,” speaks Manoj.
The hero says that he always stabs to do different types of roles. “If you look at all my movies, I have tried rather different and all new. However some movies did well, some didn’t. But I certainly not bother about the victory or failure of my movies, as I don’t take any burden. By God’s grace, I am working constantly, with numerous projects,” he speaks.
The hero says that all the seniors and his dad encourage him to do different types of roles. “My father has undergone several highs and lows. When he got a hit, numerous cars would be parked in front of our home and when the movie failed, there won’t. It is all a share of life and my goal is to do good work. I am not limited to play only main roles, I am ready to play any type of role, even a villain,” speaks Manoj.
Speaking about his co-star Pragya Jaiswal, he speaks, “She is one of the finest actresses that I have toiled with till now.” He discloses, “It was always amusing on the shooting sets as we were a young and ambitious team, counting the director, producer, and technicians. Occasionally, we would wake up early in the morning and begin shooting.”
The hero is very annoyed about the occurrence about the Malayalam heroine. “If you switch on the TV, there are numerous such scary occurrences happening with females. They are not even leaving small children and it’s quite disturbing. I am focusing more on these matters this year and am planning a movie on atrocities contrary to women,” speaks the actor, saying, “We are blessed that we had more females in our school than male students. Even at my house, we were showed how to respect a lady. I am certainly going to emphasis on this subject this year.”
Speaking about Chiranjeevi giving out the voice-over for Gunturodu, he says, “Originally, I had sent a message to Ram Charan for his voice-over, but he was abroad and was coming back to the city after ten days. However, we wanted it immediately. Since my dad and Chiranjeevi uncle go for breakfast on weekends, I told my dad that I would come with him one day. Through the breakfast, I asked Chiranjeevi uncle to do the voice-over and clarified that it was a commercial movie and we wanted a big name to narrate the script.”
Though Chiranjeevi was busy with his TV show, he granted to do the voice-over. “The very next day, he called to inform that he recorded the voice-over and requested me to check it. It’s a grand gesture from the hero,” speaks Manoj.
Potugadu is the utmost grosser for Manoj, but he speaks that he never viewed the movie again. “I did that movie as I really wanted a commercial hit. When I show my effort to my sons and grandsons, I want them to watch movies like Prayanam, Bindas, and Vedam, but not Potugadu,” he speaks.
