HYDERABAD: Sanatnagar police has booked a lawyer and two members of his family, including a minor boy, for misinterpreting with a famous TV Anchor.
On the basis of a complaint filed by the television station Geeta Bhagath on 8 April, Sanatnagar police registered a case under articles 504 (insult to infringe peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) , 509 (pronouncing any word or making a gesture to indignation The modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against lawyer Seeta, her 12-year-old son and her 75-year-old mother.
Geeta and Seeta are neighbors. The complainant alleged that the lawyer came to her home on April 8 and went badly with her. “Sanatnagar police violated the law by booking a minor in a case,” said child rights activist Achyuta Rao.
When contacted, Sanatnagar K Sudarshan Reddy Inspector stated that he was not aware that a minor was being booked in a case based on a complaint filed by an anchor.
