Heropanti Actress Kriti Sanon speaks about her journey in the Bollywood Industry ,on the sidelines of the fourth edition of India Beach Fashion Week 2017.
In Bollywood, where star kids are lined up for their grand launch into film Industry, Heropanti actress Kriti Sanon admits her ride in Bollywood would have been easier if she was from a film background, but she is “proud” that she doesn’t have a “godfather”.
Delhi girl Kriti, daughter of an associate professor and Charted accountant, spoke about her journey on the sidelines of the fourth edition of India Beach Fashion Week 2017.
Talking about having a godfather in the film industry would help, she said, “People would have known me much faster… To register a new talent, especially when that face doesn’t come from a film background and you don’t know the surname, it takes a little time while for the audience to connect with you.”
“I am quite proud of it, of where I’ve come. I never thought of becoming an actress to where I am right now. I don’t have any particular godfather in the film industry, who is always there and helping me out. But at the same time, I am making my own mistakes and learning through them,” the actress said.
The 26-year-old actress feels “rawness helps as an actor”.
The actress has two new movies in her hands “Raabta” and “Bareilly Ki Barfi”.
The actress says “Raabta” is a romantic drama, while “Bareilly Ki Barfi” is of comedy, drama, a little bit of romance and life feel movie.
The actress said that she is an “instinctive person” and if she gets a story of an action film with good content, she is ready to go with it.
In just three years, Kriti had a huge fan following, Kriti has 979K followers on Twitter and 6 million followers on Instagram.
The actress says that Dilwale was an ensemble project. But her performance in the film is not so much and said that the two films which she had done earlier didn’t explore herself more as an actress, adding that the new upcoming movies Raabta and Bareilly Ki Barfi are more performance-oriented.
