He stated that the government will assign the vacant land to the north and south of the holy place for expansion projects.

KCR said that the government was dedicated to making Bhadradri temple one of the exceptional pilgrimage centres in the nation.

He was talking at a meeting to review the growth work at the Bhadrachalam temple with Telangana ministers and officials at Pragathi Bhavan.

The CM studied the temple revamp designs made by engineer Anand Sai as per the plan of seer Chinna Jeeyar.

He inquired officials to build a shopping complex, Kalyana mandapam, amenities for pilgrims etc. on the land to be allocated to the temple.

“Lord Rama is worshipped in the nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Bhadradri shrine holds an exceptional significance amid all the Rama temples. For this motive, pilgrims in big numbers from neighboring Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Maharashtra visit Bhadrachalam each year. Lakhs of tourists visit the temple through Sri Rama Navami each year. There is a vital need to deliver better facilities to visitors for smooth darshan,” Mr. Rao stated.

He said that the government had taken steps to progress connectivity to Bhadrachalam from all parts of the nation.

The Chief Minister has decided to hold a gathering with priests on 15th September at Pragathi Bhavan to talk over their long pending hassles.

Priests have been demanding payment of salaries over treasury section on par with government staff.
