IRCTC new app will swap the old existing IRCTC connect application and the new features will include 24/7 service, simple and easy UI.
“Presently the e-ticketing system caters to above 10 lakh passengers’ everyday (comprising 58 percent of full reserved passengers). And to upsurge the ease to users, a latest Android-based mobile application for reserved booking IRCTC Rail Connect has been settled,” Prabhu told journalists in New Delhi.
Moreover, Prabhu had inaugurated numerous non-fare initiatives and IRCTC mobile apps.
Clarifying about the new mobile IRCTC app, Prabhu had said: “Rail Connect has been urbanized to bring the influence of next generation e-ticketing system like high performance and greater security.”
The new mobile-based application will swap the old existing IRCTC connect app.
Rendering to the Railway Minister, the new application has numerous features like 24/7 service with no time built checks, synchronization of mobile app with NGET (Next Generation e-Ticketing) for ticket booking, guileless and easy user interface and funds general, ladies, Tatkal and Premium-Tatkal allocation.
The new application consists of other important features like greater security of self-assigned PIN (Personal identification number) to login without writing in the username and password on every login.
Prabhu had pointed-out that a new user registration and triggering can now be directly done through the IRCTC Rail Connect.
The minister also said that the new application will be incorporated with IRCTC e-wallet for faster and hassle free dealings.
“Over IRCTC Rail Connect app users can look out and cancel old mobile app tickets also. The new app will deliver payment gateway to above 40 banks to enable payments through credit or debit cards, net Banking and wallets like Paytm, PayU, Mobikwik,” Prabhu said.
“The IRCTC Rail Connect will also be inter-connected with IRCTC AIR, Food on Track mobile apps to enable booking of air tickets and food through e-catering.”
