IPL 2017: Rashid bowling and Warner half century gave SRH a comfortable win
Rashid Khan continued his impressive run in the match. David Warner returned to form as Sunrisers Hyderabad has recorded a nine-wicket comfortable win against Gujarat Lions here at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. SRH has put down GL to 135-run in the given overs. The target has been chased by SRH in just 15.3 overs as Warner wrapped up the match with his fourth successive victory over GL with a six.

Rashid bamboozles Lions
The young Afghan spin bowler has set the IPL on fire with his elegant display of leg spin bowling, leaving the batsmen confused. GL batsmen ware unplayable, top quality batsmen of all time be it Brendon McCullum or Suresh Raina, everyone failed face and read his googlies and legspinners. He dismissed McCullum with off cutter and could have got Captain Suresh Raina as well if the Warner held on to a difficult catch at the first slip. He then slipped in another googly and this time it was Aaron Finch who failed to read it and was out lbw. Then he dismissed Raina in the 3rd over last ball.
After the fall of their skipper Dinesh Karthik and Dwayne Smith together make things better where GL were 57/4 in their nine overs and desperately in need of a partnership that would put their innings back on track. Together, both added 56 runs in 7.4 overs before Bhuvneshwar came into the attack and break the partnership and again, derail their innings. But couldn’t make it fine enough as they dismissed in quick succession and GL ended by making 135 runs on board.
Warner rolls his 33rd fifty – the most in IPL’s history
Warner started the proceedings with Dhawan. As Dhawan has been dismissed early by preveen kumar, Warner continued the match with Moises Henriques by making over 100 runs partnership. However, that was the only dent in an otherwise perfect SRH chase that was led by Warner. He was harsh against the spinners he has completed his fifty and finished off the things scoring 76 of 45 balls. With a four that was hit of the same bowler’s next over, he finished his 33rd IPL fifty, taking just 28 balls to the milestone.
SRH 4-0 against GL
With their huge nine-wicket win Hyderabad, SRH has recorded their fourth successive win over Gujarat. They won both the league matches (home and away) last season in 2016 which including a 10-wicket thrashing win at Rajkot. They also beat GL in the second qualifier which has enrouted1) a maiden IPL title which they won by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore.
