New Delhi: In spite of emergent victorious, displeasure was tangible in Virat Kohli’s face as Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper today called the 10th season of IPL as “forgettable” and a period to “reflect on” for his flank.
RCB had an awful IPL 10, concluding at the bottom of the eight-team crew competition with just 7 points from 14 games.
“It has been a period to forget, a spell to reflect on. We have got a great possibility to look at all the possessions we have done wrong and revive as a franchise,” a dissatisfied Kohli said after beating Delhi Daredevils by 10 runs in their previous match at the Feroz Shah Kotla here.
“The folks took today as a chance and it worked out well.”
Speaking about next version of the IPL, Kohli stated: “We do have guys in the 3-5 player strut who we want to recollect if that’s conceivable. They have shown the correct attitude and they need it. It is just amusing to end on a winning memo.”
Kohli was full of admiration for his stride duo of Harshal Patel (3/43) and fresh Avesh Khan (1/23) for their show on Sunday.
“Together Harshal and Avesh played with a good heart. The method Avesh rushed it onto the batters on this pitch, somewhat world-class bowlers couldn’t do, was notable.
“We see Harshal’s skill set and he had taken three big wickets now, it’s disastrous he couldn’t play more,” he said.
Dropping captain Zaheer Khan, who might have played his last IPL game on Sunday, was completely saddened with Daredevils campaign now.
“This has been the story of the period. When we look back, we can see we wanted experience in these kinds of games. When the wicket is low, you should go big timely,” he said.
