Mental high

From Koi Mil Gaya to Guzaarish, Hrithik had pushed himself physically as well as mentally to get into every role. Even in his future film Kaabil, the hero will be seen performing a visually defied person. Questioned if he intentionally prefers selecting to portray such hard characters, he says, “Yeah. As I have in my own life, several times, experienced the delight of doing a task which I had primarily thought was incredible (for me) to achieve. And when I have gone through that point and became successful, tears rolled out my eyes. That state of accomplishment is a huge reward — it allows you enhances you from within, makes your appearance shine and stretches you a mental high. It can’t be labeled in words, it has to be touched.”

Bravery, self-worth and love

The hero has always been open about his fights, private or professional. On what retains him going through hard times, he says, “I face life with audacity. I am here to be gratified in life and in the characters I play — as a dad, brother, actor, friend, etc. I am an explorer at heart. I don’t know why individuals have this whole notion that I only want to be included in larger than life pictures! I want to do all kinds of movies… I am open to small, tall, short projects.”

Stardom and children

Does he ever feel that owed to his stardom, his children’s personal spaces are assaulted? “My eminence and stardom is part of their life styles. They better learn to receive it, hold it and use it to the finest of their abilities in ways they can pay back. I have told them never to be mortified about your own dad’s stardom as I have worked certainly hard for it. I have also told them to never afraid away from all the prominence they receive as they are my sons… because that’s a pleasing gift one can have.”
