Vidya Balan talks about her next upcoming movie “Begum Jaan” and says that she always wanted to be gabbar.
Actress Vidya Balan is ready to make her comeback with Srijit Mukherjee’s “Begum Jaan” after delivering a couple of back-to-back flops. The trailer has already made it one of the most awaited movies of the year and the actress performance promises to be par excellence.
In an interview, the actress talks about the buzz around her film “Begum Jaan”, where the actress for the first time has gone without waxing for a film and she did it because the director asked her.
The actress said, “After watching the trailer of Begum Jaan Everyone’s has been calling me as badass and I loved it. No one has ever called me badass before. I always wanted to be Gabbar and this is my Gabbar moment. I am always looking to do different roles which was I hadn’t done before.”
Vidya Balan also stated that she had gone without make-up for some of the previous characters and these was the first time where she had gone without waxing for a film. She did it because the director Srijit asked her to do.
Moreover, the actress has gone completely de-glam for this film stating that her eyebrows actually meet which is known to no one.
The actress says, for this movie, I actually, made them grow out to its natural thickness but still we had to use a little bit of make-up so that they look clear.
When asked about the delivery of few flop movies the actress said, “Thankfully, the audience has been very kind and some of the films didn’t work, even though they have always sent me the love for my performances. I have continued to feel loved by the audiences and I feel thankful for that. Some films work; some films don’t. Of course, a few films have not worked which was disheartening. I talk about it, I cry about it but I get it out of my system, and that’s how I move on. “
The film “Begum Jaan” is going to hit the theaters on 14th April.
