Honda has unveiled the new Honda Civic Si Prototype at the 2016 LA Auto Show. A new Honda Civic Si (Sports Injected) is a sport compact trim for the tenth generation of Honda Civics.
Distinct what is expected from sports trim, Civic Si has plenty of features such as the sunroof and a seven-speaker audio system on board. It will go on sale in US market for next year. With the honda civic si, Honda is aiming to create the balance between performance and comfort.
The prototype at the LA Auto Show was a coupe, though the road-ready 2017 Honda Civic Si will be available a sedan as well.

Sporting Rallye Red Pearl body paint, the Honda Civic Si prototype features a full Factory Performance (HFP) aero kit that includes the front and rear splitters and rear spoiler, a center-mounted polygonal exhaust finisher and the 19-inch 235/35Y high-performance tires mounted on HFP 19 x 8J 10-spoke forged aluminum alloy wheels.
The Civic si is powered by a high-performance version of the 1.5-liter VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine. This engine produces 174 hp at 6,000 rpm & 162 lb.-ft. of torque in the 2017 Honda Civic and the 2017 Honda Civic Coupe.
Speaking of handling, in automobiles the new sporty Honda Civic si has the limited-slip differential, cross-drilled brake blades, and the high-performance tires. It will a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic or a dual clutch option may be unlikely.
Inside, the Honda Civic Si Prototype features aluminum sport pedals; an exclusive sport seats with red stitching, red stitching on the doors, including Si logos, steering wheel and leather shift boot with an aluminum shift knob, Dry Metal Carbon instrument panel trim, and the red illumination in the instrument panel’s TFT meter and the audio system.
