Gujarat government entered into an agreement with CloudBuy.com to provide E-marketplace for businesses and make a digital economy in the state.
The Gujarat administration has entered into B2B e-commerce space by a contract with a global cloud-based solutions provider cloudBuy.com to develop a B2B marketplace for accelerating its growth in small and large business units in Gujarat.
The main purpose of this move is to give a digital push to the small and large organizations from Gujarat through B2B e-commerce.
The move will be used to support businesses in the state on one single stage, where members can trade with each other and across India and globally.
The project has been developed as part of the Centre’s ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives, the company said.
Dhananjay Dwivedi, Secretary to the Government (IT, Science & Technology) at Government of Gujarat said the company had entered into a MoU with the Gujarat government. “Any other e-commerce company that can support business in Gujarat can also come” he added.

The state comprises more than four lakh small businesses that are expanded across industries. In recent years, Gujarat has witnessed the highest number of listing on Small business exchanges and remained top of other states in terms of capital raised by local small companies.
In 2016, Cloudbuy.com had entered into a similar type of agreement with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to develop an e-marketplace to its members and connect them with new global users.
