Gujarat Assembly Elections counting will be held on 18th December along with that of Himachal Pradesh.
New Delhi: After far delay and denunciation, the Election Commission on this Wednesday had announced a two-phase election poll in Gujarat on 9th December and 14th December, setting off a high-decibel argument amid the ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress party. Counting will be conducted on 18th December laterally with that of Himachal Pradesh.
The poll procedure in the state will commence on 14th November with the concern of the gazette notification for the 1st phase. Candidates can start filing their nominations from that day.
Though the first phase will be held in 89 of 182 seats, the notice for the second phase will be given out on 20th November for the other 93 seats in 14 districts.
After widespread privileges following the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls that Electronic Voting Machines were meddled with, the EC publicized that a paper track of votes will be used in all 50,128 polling stations of 182 electorates.
