Govinda App, a new mobile app was launched by Dr D. Sambasiva Rao in Tirumala on Wednesday.
Nellore: To make the easy darshan, accommodation and donation procedure more clear and simple for disciples of Lord Venkateswara, TTD EO Dr D. Sambasiva Rao had launched a new mobile application in Tirumala on Wednesday, on the propitious day of Telugu Ugadi. Termed as “Govinda Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams” the app delivers the mobile savvy disciples all the amenities to book darshan, lodging, e-Hundi, e-Donation amenities with a simple touch of a button on their smartphones.
Talking in this instance, the TTD EO said that the temple administration is trying to deliver the finest possible services to its travelers with more limpidity and speed. “Our aim is to deliver all the facilities to pilgrims in a hassle-free manner. Our IT arm, laterally with TCS, has brought important changes in our utmost ambitious “Digital Tirumala” online booking scheme in the past one year and we are still finding out the finest IT resolutions.
This mobile app enables the pilgrims to book darshanam, accommodation and even donation. The tourists can access this application through our official TTD website and through Google apps with some small clicks”, he said. Additionally, the EO told so far 1.33 crore individuals had darshan in Rs 300 over online and each day over 2,000 rooms are released to be reserved by as various devotees. “Likewise, we want to progress IT services with clearness”, he said.
TTD Trust Board member Sudha Murthy had said it’s a technology-based pilgrim inventiveness and the TTD is best utilizing the IT services to deliver hassle-free services to disciples. Other Board supporters Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Dr. Hariprasad, Bhanuprakash Reddy, CIO Sudhakar, Ananta, IT wing chief of TTD Sesha Reddy and others also appeared.
