Google Maps Will Now Let You Create, Share, Follow ‘Lists’ of Places

Google Maps new feature is now rolling out to android, iOS apps and all the users will be capable to create, share, and follow Lists.

Google has revealed the Google Maps ‘Lists’ feature, and also proclaimed its handiness in India. The new feature gives users the capability to mark out places they want to endorse to family and even friends. The accessibility of the feature was publicized on Monday, and the business says it will be evident on both the Android and iOS applications.

The search hulk in an emailed declaration said Google Maps users in India can now make lists of places, can share lists with others, and trail the lists of family and friends when they are shared with them. Users will be capable to view and edit their lists offline, and if they are having offline maps downloaded, places added to the lists will seem on the offline map.

“You can list out the places you wish to visit as well as share your references, whether it is a list of weekend breakouts, or a list of best street food joints, or finest fashion boutiques in a specific area among others,” Google said in the declaration.

Google stated that there are two major ways to create a list. Initially, users have to open the side menu, then go to Your places, open Saved, and click on the + sign in the blue circle at the bottom right place of the screen. The other way is for users to open the place wanted to be added to a new list, click on Save, and then click on Create a new list.

As for sharing a list, Google said operators need to open their list, and click on the Share button on the upper right hand corner. Then, they can share the resulting link to their list via applications on their phone, such as SMS, Hangouts, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter.

The receivers, when they click on the link, will be specified the option to Follow the list in Google Maps. They will then have the list saved in the Your places segment of the app.

To edit a list, operators need to go to the Your places section and then tap the Saved tab. They will need to tap on the three dot list of options to the right of the list and then click Edit list. Customers will also be able to add and eliminate places from lists straight from a location’s place sheet by clicking the Saved icon.
