The four accused in Game of Thrones leak have been arrested with criminal breach of faith and computer-related crimes.
Indian police department has arrested about four people on doubt of leaking an airless episode of HBO’s knockout series “Game of Thrones”, the police department in the city of Mumbai stated.
The madly popular fantasy dramatic movie is already the utmost pirated show on TV and has been bedeviled by frequent leaks of episodes before they air.
Based on the police department views three of the accused persons are working for the Prime Focus Technologies, a Mumbai-based firm that processes the sequences for Indian gushing website Hotstar. The fourth is a previous employee.
The leak of the episode on 4th August, named “The Spoils of War,” was distinct from a new hack on HBO. That drudge included the robbery of proprietary information like programming.
“We have received a grievance from Prime Focus Technologies concerning the leakage of episode 4, sequence 7,” Akbar Pathan, deputy commissioner of police in the Mumbai cyber crime unit, stated Reuters.
“In the analysis, it was revealed that four persons were tangled.”
The four people have been charged with illegal breach of trust and computer-related crimes. They will appear soon in the court and will be imprisoned until 21st August.
