Flipkart And Microsoft forge cloud partnership to expand e-commerce in India
Technology giants Flipkart and Microsoft India’s leading marketplace, announced a strategic partnership to provide best online shopping service to the consumers in India. As a first step in the broad partnership between Flipkart and Microsoft , Flipkart will adopt Microsoft Azure as its public cloud based platform. Flipkart Group CEO Binny Bansal and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced the news at an event in Bengaluru.
CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella said, At Microsoft we empower each and every Indian and every Indian organization with technology and key to this is forging strategic partnerships with innovative companies like Flipkart. The CEO of Flipkart Binny Bansal said that Flipkart’s strategic partnership with Microsoft will help his company to expand in the coming days.
By Combining Artificial Intelligence capabilities and Microsoft’s cloud platform with Flipkart’s existing services and data assets, will facilitate Flipkart to hasten its digital transformation in e-commerce and deliver new experience to the customers. Firstly Starting with computing infrastructure, Microsoft Azure will enhance a layer of analytics and advanced cloud technologies to Flipkart’s existing data Centre’s.

By adoption of Microsoft Azure with Flipkart gives strong reputation in cloud computing, coupled with scale and reliability. Partnership with Microsoft Azure and AI as a platform can help us to expand our e-commerce business,” said Mr Bansal. This partnership allows us to power our combined strength and knowledge of technology, markets and e-commerce customers can make online shopping more significantly.
Mr Nadella, who is in India shared the stage with Nandan Nilekani at an event in Microsoft’s technology and business conference, and shared his views about the significance of technology in the public sector.
He also spoke about IndiaStack, a set of APIs that provide unique digital infrastructure aimed at eliminating problems related to cash less, paper less and presence-less delivery service.
