It has been more than a year since Fahadh Faasil had a released his film after the superhit movie Maheshinte Prathikaram which has released in February 2016. However, the actor had a couple of movies to gearing up for hitting the big screens and few other projects are also to start rolling this year.
Now, the latest news is that the actor has committed a new movie with director Marthandan of Paavada fame. Touted to be an out and out comedy entertainer, Fahadh will be seen in the role of a villager. That has Scripted by Joji Thomas, the upcoming movie music will be given by Gopi Sunder and cinematography by Pradeep Nair.
In a recent interview given by the director Marthandan and Joji Thomas, the scriptwriter revealed that the movie is being released with a tagline of ‘chiri unlimited’. The team ensured that the movie will be going to have some real comical moments.
Even though the movie had announced last year, the team has decided to postpone the shoot to 2017 as they wanted to have a perfect script for the movie. As it is the second outing of Joji, who was the scriptwriter of Vellimonga.
Reportedly, Fahadh Faasil’s character in the film is a Kannur-based young man. The actor will be using pure Kannur vernacular in the movie, it will also be a character-driven story like writer Joji’s first outing Vellimoonga. According to the sources close to the project, the team is yet to finalise the female lead and rest of the star cast of this project. If things fall in place, the title of project which is going to be produced by Weekend Blockbusters will be officially announced soon.
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol producer Sophia Paul is funding this movie and is expected to start the film by the end of this month. Meanwhile, Fahadh’s Take Off, the debut directorial of editor Mahesh Narayanan, is gearing up to hit screens on March 24.
