The 26-year-old Emma Watson is planning to take legal action over stolen photographs that are making their way around the web.
Hollywood star Emma Watson is planning legal action over the pictures said to have been leaked online, but her spokesperson on Wednesday denied reports that the pictures showed the British actress nude.
“Photos from clothes fitting the actress had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting anymore,” her representatives said in a statement to the news reporters.
Blog posts and Social networks have claimed that naked images of the actress have been posted this week on an unknown document-sharing web. It was not clear what action her attorneys are planning to do or against whom.
The 26-year-old actress who made her name as a child star playing Hermione Granger role in the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, now found herself at the center of a social network controversy. Recently, in a photo shoot, she did for Vanity Fair magazine that included a picture in which parts of her body were exposed.
Many Users of Twitter and Reddit alleged that the pics of the actress are posted on the dark-web-an encrypted web that will let users to exchange often illegal information and services without identifying themselves.
Critics called the actress, who is also a United Nations goodwill ambassador on women’s rights and equality, hypocritical and said she was revealing her feminist ideals.
The actress hit back, saying feminism was about choice. “It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it,” she told the international news agency.
