Person had borrowed funds to do construction works for CHAI projects in Hyderabad.
Man who set himself ablaze in front of the Archbishops house in Secunderabad has been identified as Deen Benedict of Tarnaka in Hyderabad. Mr. Dean had run up huge debts to execute construction projects for the Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) at Medchal and Neighbours said that a few days ago and some men had come to Deens house and had picked up an argument about the unpaid debt as officials from Gopalapuram police station think that Dean had a debt of around 40 lakh rupees, and was troubled as he could not pay it back as per the report says.
Subsequently 3 months he was facing a financial crisis due to the construction project and dean was probably troubled by the matter as happened in Hyderabad, separately from the shop he was running he was executing real estate projects which must have led to the debt said the FIR prepared by Gopalapuram police and the father of three children and Deen left home on Saturday early in the morning saying that he was going to attend the morning Mass at St Mary Baslica, there is a Mass at St Marys Baslica at 6 AM and everyone thought he went to church as said one of his relations.
Accidentally the Deens mother in law passed away on Saturday as per the report and his wife Coleen and children went to her mother’s house near Narayanguda and neither his wife nor other relatives knew about Deans death till Saturday night as they were in Narayanguda and dean elder brother Jerad Benedict said that Deen had not shown any signs of unhappiness or panic when he met him a day before the occurrence and i met him on Friday as said he was fine and jovial as usual and he could not figure out that if he was under pressure.
