Cyient, previously Infotech Enterprises, has begun its operations in Warangal at the Incubation Centre of TSIIC.
Cyient, an international provider of engineering, digital, manufacturing, and technology services, declared that it has started its operations in Warangal from the Incubation Center of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC). The facility was initiated in the existence of Mr. Kadiyam Srihari, the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Telangana state together with Mr. BVR Mohan Reddy, the founder and Executive Chairman of Cyient and Mr. Sunil Kumar Makkena, the Senior Vice President – Utilities & Geospatial Business Unit of Cyient.
The company has established a Center of Excellence (CoE) in TSIIC Incubation Center to aid its Communications business to expand operations for its global customer base. The CoE will commence fiber and coaxial network planning and design, cell site design and drafting, RF planning, MDU engineering and network optimization services. Cyient will also influence the Center to deliver geospatial services and solutions for the firm’s Smart City engagements.
Remarking on the initiative, Mr. BVR.Mohan Reddy had said “This is our 4th center in tier2 metropolises and we are assertive that the access to the good resource pool of engineers graduating from the reputed institutes situated in the close vicinity Warangal will aid us to carry out good at this center. Telangana Governament has a good setup and Warangal is one of the best growing cities in the state of Telangana. The city has the needed potential to become a commercial hub and we are here to contribute the socio-economic development of the area.”
Cyient has already placed a foundation stone for about 70,000 square feet high-tech Technology Development Center in Warangal, in the Madikonda Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of TSIIC, which will become functional in next 18 to 24 months. When the center is operational, the firm will progress operations by employing about 1,000 professionals who work on advanced geographic information systems (GIS), LiDAR, remote sensing, and photogrammetry skills that speak requirements of the rail utilities, transportation, and communications segments. The competence spread over a 5-acre area will upkeep Cyient’s worldwide digital technology initiatives like Internet of Things, Analytics, and Smart Cities.
