CBI Searches are being held at 12 locations counting Patna, Delhi, Puri, Ranchi, and Gurgaon.
New Delhi: CBI (The Central Bureau of Investigation) on Friday had raided properties possessed by previous railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members in association with a fresh case of apparent misdeeds in awarding the tender for maintenance of the hotels.
The circumstance has been listed against the then railway minister, his spouse Rabri Devi, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and his son Tejashwi, the then IRCTC MD, PK Goyal, the wife of Yadav’s friend Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata, and others, CBI representatives said.
Prem Chand Gupta is a previous Union corporate affairs minister.
The representatives said the FIR tells to allegations of disparities in the tender for growth, operation and maintenance of BNR Hotels in Ranchi and Puri, given to the remote Sujata Hotels in the year 2006.
The BNR Hotels are heritage hotels of the Railways that were taken over by the IRCTC from the public carrier previously in 2006.
