Bullet train, the symbol of India-Japan brotherhood: Piyush Goyal

Ahmedabad:  Piyush Goyal, Union Railway Minister on Thursday stated that the bullet train is a sign of brotherhood amid people of Japan and India, and will bring significant changes to the nation.

Shinzo Abe, Japanese Prime Minister, and Narendra Modi on Thursday had laid the foundation stone for the recommended Ahmedabad-Mumbai High-Speed Rail Network, recognized as the bullet train, in Ahmedabad on this Thursday.

Goyal stated that this corporation would attest to be beneficial for India and would also back to the nation’s ‘Make in India’ Mission.

“Public will get employment chances with this project and it will carry vital changes in the nation. This bullet train will be a mark of brotherhood amid people of India and Japan,” Goyal stated.

Talking to the gathering for the first time after taking over as the Railway Minister, Goyal stated that the bullet train venture would boost the thrifts all along its way.

“Several people criticised the introduction of the Rajdhani Express, but currently it is the train everybody wants to travel by.

In the meantime, Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra stated that ventures like bullet train would satisfy the vision of the Prime Minister’s ‘New India’.

“We are not only placing the foundation of the bullet train but are placing the basis of the Prime Minister’s New India Vision,” he stated.

“The employment made with the project will lift the GDP,’ he said.

The bullet train, which has the ability to house 750 people, is anticipated to reduce travel time amid the two cities from 7 to 3 hours.

On the Ahmedabad-Mumbai way, overall 12 stations have been planned that embrace Mumbai, Virar, Thane, Boisar, Bilimora, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Bharuch, Anand, Ahmedabad, and Sabarmati.

The distance of 508 km will be enclosed in 2 hours and 7 minutes by the bullet train if it halts at four stations Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Mumbai.

Rendering to the railway ministry administrators, the operating speed of the bullet train will be 320 kilometers in an hour and the supreme speed will be 350 kilometers per hour.

With bullet train, India has become the first to ingress the iconic ‘Shinkansen’ bullet-train expertise after Taiwan. The Japanese Government has also granted to fund the project at nominal interest rates.
