Baahubali: The Beginning is the magnum opus of Rajamouli and complete India is waiting for its sequel.
Hyderabad: An unedited version of a fight sequence from S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 was leaked online, producing a flurry in Tollywood. Just within few hours of the leak, Hyderabad Cyber Crime team captured a trainee video editor at Annapurna Studios for thieving the footage and sharing it on the Internet. Police bureaucrats said that the dubious, Ainampudi Krishna, who lives in a boardinghouse at Shaikpet, took the battle footages in a pen drive from the editing set and shared it with his friends located in Vijayawada.
Film makers of Baahubali 2 come up to Hyderabad police after the leaked footage went viral on social media, showing lead artists Prabhas and Anushka Shetty in semi-rendered CG shots. One of the bank rollers, Mr Shobu Yarlagadda, lodged an official complaint with the Cyber Crime police in the Central Crime Station. He got a message on WhatsApp from a close friend, notifying him of two videos of 2.50 minutes’ stretch being spread in Vijayawada and going viral on the Web. Police registered a case and with the aid of the editing team of Baahubali, recognized the suspect.
“We have arrested the suspicious following an investigation. We observed that he had filched the video from the video editing lab and shared with his networks Aishwarya and Akki Chaitanya, both from Vijayawada. A mobile phone and computer utilized by the suspect have been seized for investigation. A case has been listed under the Copyrights Act and pertinent sections of the IT Act,” said Cyber Crimes ACP K.C.S. Raghuvir. Police said that Krishna, who had hinged as a trainee video editor recently, admitted to the police that he was agitated to share the video with his friends and that he had not sold the video for money.
