Explosion in northwest Pakistan has killed 11 and dozens were injured
A Blast that was made a by targeting a mosque in Pakistan’s northwestern city of Parachinar which is bordering Afghanistan, at least 11 people were killed and many wounded, the officials said.
The blast that eventually took place as people gathered today for Friday prayers. The series of attacks that has been happening this year follows a blast at the entrance of a Shia mosque in the central bazaar
Sajid Hussain (parliamentarian from Parachinar) has said that deaths due to explosion has reached 11 and 60 were wounded.
He also said that gunfire headed the blast. “The attack took place in one of the area and a known that women’s mosque appeared to be the targeted.”
Previous attack that was made in the last month has killed 80 people and dozens wounded on Sufi shrine in southern Pakistan was sued by ISIS.
At least 21 people were killed in January in an explosion that knockedout a vegetable market in Parachinar the capital of Kurram tribal region,
Authorities said that military rescue helicopter has been sent to the incident to help evacuate the injured.
A doctor in regional Agency Headquarters Hospital Mumtaz Hussain said five dead bodies including woman and two children and almost 30 people were injured. Appeal of blood donors has been made.
“In private cars and ambulances the Patients have been bought to us and have received more than 30 patients so far,” Hussain told Reuters.
The series attacks the hopes have been exhausted in Pakistan that they came through militant violence that damaged its recent history and made an increase of pressure on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government.
Sharif condemned the attack and said that his government will keep efforts to “eliminate the menace of terrorism”.
