Situation is alarming on the supply front too say’s AP CM Chandrababu Naidu
As AP CM said, Micro Small Enterprises Development Corporation chairman BV Rama Rao on Wednesday asked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to strive for a uniform power tariff in the country as said.
Talking to media persons Rama Rao said while Gujarat and Maharashtra were charging 5 rupees and 6 rupees for unit respectively Andhra Pradesh was charging 7 rupees, power charges are high in the State and many industries are suffering for want of power and nearly 39 units dealing with recycling of papers are facing closure he added additionally. CM said the State government lacked proper knowledge on sick units and failed to fulfil the promises such as subsidies in interest sales tax, investment for the new businesses.
The Partnership Summit at Vizag was a failure as not many industries came forward to establish their units. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the District Industries Centres in all 13 districts were not functioning properly, it is time the CM pressed for special status instead special package as the new State will get several sops for 10 years.
